Its amazing. I've been aware of the law of attraction for many years, from a spooky " co-incidence" when I was about 15, to this weekend when I was privileged to a performance by the singing waiters.
I met a lovely lady a few months ago called Marie-Claire Carlyle who pointed out to me that I was having some very negative thoughts about Sheffield, and lets face it, sometimes fact are facts. However, following on from that meeting I decided it was time to turn things round, and started to make sure my thought patterns were saying the right things.
About 10 days ago when I had a bit of free time - ie free-thinking time - at my Mum's house I had a really good think about what I want, and came up with a list. On it was "pressies" - I was a bit miffed that Mike had just let Valentines day pass with "oh, I guess I've been too busy" shrug, and that was following on from the non christmas, the non birthday, etc... within a week, my friend Grace arrived, laden with... presents. Just small things, but absolutely perfect, wine, flowers, seeds. Wow... this is great, methinks, always with "be careful what you wish for" at the back of my mind.
Also on the list was " more customers like A-H " who is a good regular client with lots of imagination. On friday I received a call asking me to do some photography at a private party at a rather nice house in Matlock, which I did, and that's where the singing waiters came in. They were fabulous! The similarity with A-H is just remarkable.
The thing that struck me was time. The party had been arranged months ago - it was happening anyway. I put myself in the zone for " something special " and suddenly I was a a part of that lovely event, and I'll be getting paid for it.
Brilliant. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Virtual world = real dilemna
Trying to change something as simple as a domain is so frustrating. I've been playing with a few different websites, now its time to the main site jeanettedawson.co.uk to the back burner and get Abbeydale Photography and Tiara Photography be a brand I can be proud of. Hmmmm.... not so simple. So many pages - thousands need adding a tag. OK it can be done, but trying to make it into a seamless transition is not going to be easy. At the bridal show next week I'll use up some of my old brochures, then the rest of them are going in the bin. So look out its www.abbeydalephotography.co.uk all the way from now on!
Its raining again. I'm so ready for spring.

Computer virus spread by human?
Its a bit worrying, Nat had a computer virus problem a week or so back, and like many friends and family he called Mike for advice. He came round last night with Rebecca, we had a good night, then this morning my computer had a very nasty virus (now fixed, I hope). The worrying thing is, did Nat spread the virus ... (spooky music in the background fades out...)

February blues
How amazing is life. 9 months since the last entry, and I feel like I've been round the block an extra few times. Failed to buy a how so virtually rebuilt this one. And - hey - got married. Yes, to Mike...
However, its February again, so just completed my tax return, and as usual got a bit depressed about how little I earn.

Cyprus
Sitting in the lobby of the hotel, waiting for the coach to pick us up to take us home. There's so much history around here, it makes me more aware of how in the passage of time, a lifetime is a blink of an eye. From Aphrodite to The romans, to the luisignans, Richard the Lionheart even stopped over here. The british colonials, Makarios... And, as a lifetime is so short, each moment is precious.
Why is so much precious time spent waiting for things to happen. Wouldn't it be great if this time could be used better. Maybe I'll phone a few people.
JUst for the record, we stayed athe hotel Agapinor. Its pretty awful, temperatures soaring, air-con inadequate at best, food like school dinners. At least I won't have put much weight on! I came to photograph a wedding, which was quite testing in this heat. Its an ambition fulfilled, and would love to do it again. The experience has been good, testing equipment, pushing limits, challenging the ordinary.

Time dilation theory and curry.
Aaargh! it's mid july already! Half a year gone already. Plans made and busted already. So much for selling my house and buying another. I sold the house, and the emotional wrench was horrendous. Didn't get very far buying another. We found one we wanted, had an offer accepted then found out that a very substantial part of the front garden still belonged to Barratts. Anyway, on with life's next big adventure - the awesome task of building extensions! Not just one, but three - a porch on the front, a new lounge on the back and a whole new space on the side.
About this time dilation theory, it may mean as time seems to speed up as I get older, time spent in a home for old biddies will seem like the blink of eye. Time spent working to fund said existence will stretch indefinitely, until the fateful day when no-one wants to hire me and it'll be a case of " oh, was that it?" so I'm going to live a bit. I've made the momentous decision that as I'll be overnight in Birmingham I shall visit the famous Balti triangle.

House hunting
it seems I have sold my house - I've taken a serious hit on the price, so I'm looking for a bargain. So far I've seen a beautiful house in a lovely location, but with no parking, an OK house in a nice location with lots of parking but no garden, and a nice big house with lots of parking and a decent size garden in an OK location.
